3 favourite ways to cook eggs!- a healthy recipe guide!

Eggs. One food, that can be made to look, taste, and be used in s many ways but still be delicious each time they are used. You can poach them, boil them, fry them, scramble them, add in a few other ingredients and then you have yourself an omelette, as I said so many different, yet delicious, things that you could do with one egg! And I did not even mention they are healthy!

There are so many benefits of eggs, eggs contain a range of vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, vitamin E and selenium which all act as important antioxidants in supporting eye health, retina function and helping counteract degenerative vision as you age. Not to mention if you are also trying to get into shape they are great for a before or after gym snack, and they do not have many calories, roughly only 155!

Poached eggs!

Starting off with one of my favourite types of egg, a pooched egg. Poaching an egg may seem like a difficult task but if you know how to do it properly and take your time, it is worth it in the end!

Boil a pot of water, and add in a tea spoon of vinegar, not to much that it makes the egg turn into vinegar flavour, but enough that it keeps the egg bonded together. Also add in a pinch of salt into the water just to add that extra flavour. When the water is boiling, turn down the head until it is just a simmer.

Crack your egg into a bowl making sure you do not burst the yolk, and then take a metal spoon and slowly turn the water in one direction so it is like a whirlpool. Then, slowly drop your egg into the water. Leave it too cook for roughly 3 to 5 minutes, depends how cooked you want your yolk.

Then, using a ladle take the cooked egg out at set it on a piece of paper towel or kitchen roll so the extra water transfers to this.

Place your egg on a bit of toast, or a bagel, even add avocado or cheese sauce- for eggs benedict- and season with salt and pepper, and there you go, enjoy! A perfect poached egg! Super healthy, and a perfect breakfast or lunch- or even brunch- recipe! There you go!

Scrambled eggs!

The next delicious way to cook an egg is scrambled eggs! Again, you can serve this on toast, a bagel, I have even seen it in a breakfast burrito or a wrap!

Pour your eggs into a bowl and mix them with a fork or a whisk, then pot on a pan. Many people add in grated cheese in their egg mix, it is completely up to you but!

Bring to medium heat. Pour in the eggs, and let them cook for a few seconds without stirring. Pull a rubber spatula across the bottom of the pan to form large, soft curds of scrambled eggs. Continue cooking over medium-low heat, folding and stirring the eggs every few seconds.

Then, Once they are all yellow coloured and you are sure they aren’t raw anymore, you can pour your ready eggs over either toast, or your choice of serving!

Egg omlette!

The last thing I love to make with eggs is an omelette, you can add so many different ingredients like cheese, chicken, ham, mushroom, peas, and so much more!
